Special Needs Care Worker Location: Bournemouth Start Date: Immediate Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 4pm Salary Scale: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience) GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Needs Care Worker to support students with diverse learning and behavioural needs. The role involves fostering an inclusive and nurturing learning environment tailored to individual requirements. You will work closely with teachers and support staff, ensuring students have access to the tools they need to succeed academically and socially. This position is ideal for professionals with a background in Special Educational Needs (SEN), care work, or child development. As a Special Needs Care Worker, one will be responsible for implementing personalised care plans, promoting independence, and ensuring the safety and well-being of students under your care. Responsibilities of a Special Needs Care Worker : Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with special educational needs. Assist in the implementation of individualised learning and care plans. Foster a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for all pupils. Collaborate with teachers and external professionals to monitor progress. Manage challenging behaviour effectively, promoting positive interactions. Support personal care tasks, where required, ensuring dignity and respect. Required Qualifications for a Special Needs Care Worker: Experience working with children or young adults with SEN or disabilities. A calm, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting diverse needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with staff, students, and parents.
