Job brief
We are looking for a Marketing Team Lead to join the team to provide maternity cover for one year. This role is required to support the strategic and operational success of the servers.com marketing team.
Reporting into the Global Director of Marketing, the Marketing Team Lead will be responsible for creating and executing the content strategy within the Sales and Marketing team at Servers.com.
The Marketing Team Lead will also be responsible for the day-to-day operations within the content and design functions of the marketing team, ensuring timelines are adhered to and that projects are progressed with deliverables produced to a consistently high standard.
The ideal candidate will have strong, demonstrable experience as a line manager and/or project manager, used to managing multiple tasks and delivering to varied deadlines.
Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record of creating and executing a revenue-generating content strategy, preferably in a B2B environment.
As this role is responsible for creating and executing the content strategy, we are looking for someone who themselves has strong experience in writing and/or editing, preferably within the tech industry.
The ideal candidate will understand what it takes to create engaging, valuable, trusted written, audio and visual content that supports the mission of servers.com, and how to achieve this at a regular cadence.
This role will be responsible for auditing and analysing content performance with the assistance of the SEO team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reporting findings and recommendations to key stakeholders including the Global Director of Marketing and the Chief Revenue Officer, if required.
In addition, they will be responsible for supporting the Design team in achieving goals that underpin the overall success of the marketing team as well as ensuring the servers.com brand guidelines are consistently applied.
Responsibilities
· Create, own and support the execution of the content strategy for servers.com across all channels, including but not limited to:
o Website content
o Corporate social media content
o Employee social media content
o Branded material
o Event material
o Storyboards
o Video scripting
o Third party articles
· Monitor the execution of the content strategy with a view to achieve positive ROI.
· Make adjustments to the content strategy as required to ensure the content goals are achieved.
· When required, act as the content specialist for at least one of our industry verticals, providing knowledge, advice, and expertise on vertical-specific content.
· Analyse content performance across all industry verticals in support of Sales’ quarterly and annual reviews.
· Track content creation and publication against KPIs and provide routine updates on progress.
· Work closely with the SEO manager to ensure the content strategy supports servers.com’s SEO strategy.
· Work closely with the Sales team to ensure industry verticals are supported by the content strategy.
· Work alongside the content and design teams to create and maintain:
o Brand tone of voice guide (the style guide)
o Branding guidance
o Any other guidance deemed necessary to uphold our brand
· Work closely with other members of the Marketing team to create cohesive, engaging and valuable content.
· Liaise with customers in the creation of collaborative content including, but not limited to:
o Case studies
o Joint PR pieces
o Video testimonials
· Liaise with external agencies in the ideation, execution and creation of content including, but not limited to:
o PR
o Video creation
· Provide line management and support for the Content team and Design team including but not limited to:
o Content writers
o Designers
· Support recruitment of new members of the Marketing team and lead onboarding for new members of the team.
· Management and administration of marketing operations including, but not limited to:
o Initial processing of invoices
o Monitoring expenditure
o Liaising with internal and external teams
o Research and implementation of marketing tools
o Collaboration with third party agencies and services
o Ensuring projects are delivered on time and to a high standard
o Day-to-day operations with the Content and Design teams.
The above list of duties is not exhaustive. You will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by the Marketing team.
Requirements/skills
· Strong, proven experience in creating a content strategy that has contributed to positive ROI.
· Deep understanding of how to create demand generation by providing valuable content to target audiences.
· Strong, proven experience in executing a strategy according to plan, within deadline and to measure strategy performance.
· Confidence in reporting on strategy performance and ROI to key stakeholders up to and including those in C-Suite positions.
· Knowledge and understanding of content creation within key social media platforms, including LinkedIn and Twitter.
· Proven experience in managing a team successfully.
· Ability to respond well and make decisions under pressure.
· Excellent writing and editing skills in English.
· Solid understanding of Monday.com is preferable.
· Experience in B2B marketing essential, preferably within the tech industry.
