SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Bexley, London Contract Type: Temporary (Maternity Cover) Start Date: September 2024 Salary: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide maternity cover at our inclusive primary school in Bexley. This role is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual to support students with special educational needs and make a significant impact on their learning journey. Day-to-day of the role: Provide tailored one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN. Assist the class teacher with the implementation and monitoring of individualized education plans (IEPs). Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of students. Work collaboratively with other staff members, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students. Utilise effective strategies to engage and motivate students, fostering their academic and social development. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience working with children with SEN. A strong understanding of various SEN conditions and effective support strategies. An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered with the update service. A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
