My client is looking for a Financial Controller to work full time in their Mayfair, London offices.

Key role specific responsibilities
* Managing the financial control of the Bank, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial results, and support the Treasury team in the preparation of ALCO reporting.
* Assist in the preparation of financial planning, including providing input into cost budgets and value management.
* Take charge of critical accounting areas such as hedge accounting, revenue recognition and loan loss provisioning, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Key responsibilities as a member of Bank’s management team
* Develop and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions.
* Provide guidance on upcoming technical accounting standards.
* Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, assign work, and delegate tasks effectively.
Mandatory Key Skills & Experience
* 5+ years experience in a FC role.
* Currently or very recently worked for a bank.
* Demonstrable experience of running a team that produces month/year ends and financial statements.
* Demonstrable experience of hedge accounting, revenue recognition and/or loan loss provisioning.
* Strong technical accounting skills, with an ability to interpret and apply accounting principles and regulations.
* Relevant experience gained from working with similar financial services organisations.
* Experience in leading the month-end close process and preparing financial statements.
