Purpose of the Role: A key management role responsible for driving new sales into our existing core markets and effective penetration into new markets, whilst maximising retention of and growth in our existing accounts, across our core lone worker and body worn camera solutions. The role involves developing and delivering strategic sales plans, identifying growth opportunities, and maintaining strong customer relationships. The role will manage, and be responsible for the performance of, the Account Development Manager (ADM) team, the Business Development Manager (BDM) team, the internal Office Sales Team, lead on the day-to-day marketing campaigns and initiatives, be part of the overall business senior management team, and will have a key input into the development of general service features ensuring alignment with customer requirements and market opportunities. Key Responsibilities of the Role: Build on our position as a leading supplier to deliver year on year new sales growth, maximising sales and cementing our position as leading supplier in our core markets, and creating and delivering penetration strategies into new markets. Creating and delivering successful sales growth and retention strategies, in line with the wider business growth strategies and targets. Sales Strategic Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales growth targets. Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and improvement, both sectors and sweet-spot target customers. Team Management Lead, coach, and manage the BDM, ADM and internal office sales teams, ensuring they meet individual and team KPIs and targets. Conduct regular performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and support for professional development, and managing under-performance. Recruit, train, and onboard new sales team members. Ensures all staff maintain an accurate database, pipeline and customer records within the company CRM system. Client Relationship Management Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Identify and develop relationships with potential new clients. Sales Operations Monitor and report on sales performance metrics. Analyse data to constantly monitor and improve performance. Provide regular accurate sales forecasts. Build and manage a robust sales pipeline that will constantly deliver the month on month sales targets. Ensure effective lead generation and nurturing generates the volumes of qualified opportunities required, with seamless hand-over, to ensure the BDMs can meet the team new sales targets. Marketing Work with both the internal company marketing resources and external agencies to create and deliver effective marketing strategies in support of the business growth strategies, and our overall positioning and brand awareness. Maintain and develop all sales materials, presentations, and proposal templates, etc. Tenders Responsibility for tender submissions, coordinating internal resources as required to produce high quality and successful bids, based on a robust bid review process and clear strategy on what is required to win each tender. Maintain and further improve our already excellent customer retention rates with the ADM team through proven and innovative account management practices such as key stakeholder management, formal regular reviews, evidencing the quality of services and added value delivered, early renewal strategies. Create and deliver strategies to maximise sales growth in existing accounts, and also maximise opportunities for cross selling across customer base. General Be a proactive member of the overall business senior management team. Input and influence the development of our products and services ensuring alignment with customer requirements and market opportunities. Qualifications, Knowledge, Skill and Experience (Required to perform the job) ? Demonstrable record of creating and executing outstanding sales growth strategies through a field-based sales team. ? 3 years minimum experience managing sales staff and marketing activities. ? Ability to lead, develop, inspire and motivate staff. ? Thorough understanding and application of the sales cycle and the tactics and activities to deploy at each stage to maximise results and minimise the time to close. ? The ability to identify and establish relationships with decision makers and influencers (both positive and negative) in existing and prospective customers. ? Customer centric approach. ? Demonstrable record of submitting and winning high quality tenders. ? Experience of selling into the public sector. ? Excellent presentation skills. ? Excellent pipeline management and accurate sales forecasts into the business. ? Creation of excellent, clear and concise management reporting into the senior management team. ?
