Role Overview Our site at Rogerstone Park is a flagship site in our Meals Solutions division, employing around 1500 people and producing a wide range of ready meals for major retailers. As a business, we offer excellent opportunities for progression and, as a key member of the engineering team, your key responsibilities will include: Responding quickly and effectively to breakdowns, providing a high level of engineering service to minimise downtime and ensure the smooth running of factory production. Undertaking planned maintenance work to improve equipment efficiency and reliability. Working on various projects, such as commissioning new equipment and upgrading existing kit. Proactively looking for new and improved ways of working to drive performance and reliability. Shift Pattern – “7 Day Fortnight” – 12 hour shifts working 7 days out of 14 (2 weeks of days followed by 2 weeks of nights) About You An apprentice training Maintenance Engineer, with either an electrical or mechanical bias. Ideally from a food manufacturing background, but we’re keen to hear from anybody with a few years’ engineering maintenance experience who is looking for a new challenge. A team player, somebody who can work collaboratively and make a positive contribution to the wider team. Strong interpersonal skills, able to develop good working relationships with colleagues at all levels across the business.
