Job description DIO Regional Delivery Overseas' Region (PJOBs) manages the delivery of the DIO contracted, and where appropriate in-house facilities management and associated services to military users within the Overseas region. This includes contract management and key relationship management with senior users, key suppliers and other elements of DIO. As the DIO Estates Facilities Manager you are responsible for the monitoring, data analysis & management of the Industry Service Provider (ISP) in delivering contracted services such as Planned Preventative Maintenance, resultant remedial works, reactive maintenance and professional inspections. The role also assists with the project management of the additional works programme, acting as the key interface and conduit between Customer and ISP. This is a challenging post in a remote overseas location that can provide fantastic developmental and career enhancing opportunities. Travel to and from Falkland Islands is currently via 2 flights per week on the South Atlantic Airbridge. There is a requirement to travel around the Establishment and outlying sites. Sometimes this may be over rough tracks only accessible by 4x4 vehicle, therefore a full UK driving licence is required. Occasional travel may be required to remote Hilltop sites around the Falkland Island, this is usually by helicopter. Responsibilities: Working in collaboration with the Industry Service Partner (ISP) to enable continuous improvement and excellence in service delivery in both Hard and Soft FM Services. Oversight of the planned preventative maintenance programme to ensure statutory and mandatory compliance is delivered, in accordance with the contract, working to resolve issues in order to maintain operational output for Hard & Soft FM Services. Work with the ISP to ensure Management Plans are produced to the required standard and are current, including Asbestos, Legionella and Fire Safety. Regularly accessing and utilising Information Management Systems (IMS) to assure Operational delivery and reporting. Support, develop and maintain active engagement and strong collaborative working relations with the BFSAI command, ISP and wider stakeholder community. Liaise with DIO RD delivery to ensure that future works are captured and prioritised in the Forward Maintenance Register, participate in relevant FMR planning meetings and maintain oversight. Monitor, assess and manage Contract performance against the Site-Specific Schedules in conjunction with the ISP. Liaise and work with Facility Management (FM) colleagues to identify points of concern and areas for improvement. Conduct site based, visual and post-completion assessments of quality of works and materials, including snagging, providing data to be included in lessons learnt and continuous improvement programs, providing support and oversight of the ISP solutions. Attend relevant Facilities Management meetings, particularly supporting the Senior Estate Facilities Manager (SEFM) at monthly SIMMs (Site Infrastructure Management Meetings). Prepare for the transition and implementation of Overseas Prime contract within BFSAI, and support the wider RD team with transition initiatives that will support the smooth implementation.
