Job summary The principal purpose of our Outreach Worker is to improve the health and wellbeing of people with a range of substance misuse difficulties. This will be achieved by engaging with individuals experiencing substance use and supporting them to access drug and alcohol treatment and concentrating on engaging with individuals who are not currently accessing treatment and will have a particular focus on opiate clients. Most of time will be spent working out in the community, at a range of venues across Torbay. These will include outside spaces, Shrublands House, Leonard Stocks Hostel and venues where those hard to engage often frequent Our Outreach Worker will collaborate with staff from the RSI team, mental health teams and town centre wardens as well as other partners in the community, exploring innovative methods to engage individuals into treatment. We are looking for someone who is passionate about what we do, and with a positive and engaging approach to our service users and staff.
