Internal Audit Manager – QA, Professional Practices & Reporting
Location: Bradford, Chatham, Petersfield or London
We are happy for you to be based in Bradford, Chatham, Petersfield or London but please note that occasional travel will be required to our other offices.
Working Pattern: Our working style is hybrid, but we recognise the importance of collaborative working with our colleagues often 2 days per week in one of our offices.

You and Your Team:
Reporting to the Chief Internal Auditor, as the Internal Audit Manager – QAPP, you will provide independent assurance to Group Internal Audit and the Board on the effectiveness of Group Internal Audit.
In your day-to-day role, as the Internal Audit Manager – QAPP, you will:
Quality Assurance:
* Set the internal Quality Assurance plan that is reflective of the Group Internal Audit risk profile (people/impact).
* Maintain a robust QA framework / methodology to assess the effectiveness and adherence to internal controls, methodology and activity.
* Deliver QA reports concluding whether audits are performed in line with methodology requirements, and that: internal audit scopes, fieldwork, conclusions and reporting are robust.
Professional Practices:
* Overall responsibility for maintaining the Internal Audit Methodology, ensuring our standards and processes meet best practice expectations and applicable industry standards.
* Run ongoing GIA methodology training for colleagues.
* Maintain an external ‘QA and PP’ network to stay aware of changes to industry standards.
Reporting:
* Lead on preparing draft committee reporting papers, seeking input from the Chief Internal Auditor and Heads of Internal Audit.
* Maintain data and reporting within the Risk connect system to assist with monitoring team KPIs, audit quality and data required for committee reporting.
What will make you stand out?
* Well-rounded audit experience in order to meaningfully challenge the GIA leadership team and audit quality; and ensure that internal audit judgements and opinions are robust.
* Broad based financial services and banking experience.
* Suitable and relevant professional experience or qualifications.
* Highly analytical, able to work with both low levels of detail and a ‘big picture’ organisation-wide perspective and think critically.
* Ability to work within a complex, dynamic setting, both anticipating and responding to change.
