In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for evaluating prospective students through structured interviews, ensuring alignment with the institution's values and admission policies. Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct structured interviews to assess applicants' academic background, potential, and career goals
2. Review portfolios (where applicable) and ensure selection decisions are based on fair, predefined criteria
3. Provide prospective students with information about the institution’s courses, faculty, and campus life
4. Maintain accurate records of interviews, assessments, and outcomes
5. Offer constructive feedback and guide applicants through the admission process
6. Stay informed about academic offerings, faculty, and student support services
7. Participate in open days, recruitment fairs, and other admissions events
8. Work closely with academic departments to make final admission decisions
9. Ensure compliance with the institution’s admissions policies and UK higher education regulations
10. Occasional national/international travel for events supporting the institution's priorities
Person Specification
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Arts, Business, or a related field
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
3. Ability to engage with a diverse student population
4. Strong decision-making, evaluation, and organisational skills
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with admissions software
6. Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
7. Understanding of the creative industry trends and student career pathways
Experience
1. Demonstrated experience in conducting interviews or assessments in educational settings
2. Proven ability to interact with a diverse student population, particularly widening participation students
3. Experience providing guidance on academic pathways and career development
