Job summary This is an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist with Stroke and Neuro experience to join our Community Stroke and Neuro rotation based in North Manchester. Join our multidisciplinary team which comprises of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Nurses, Psychologist and Rehabilitation Assistants in providing good quality rehabilitation to the patients of North Manchester. You will be supported by our Band 8a Clinical Lead and the Band 7 Occupational Therapists within the service. There is regular team training, as well as specific OT training as part of the wider community services. The successful applicants will possess experience of working within a Stroke or Neuro service, show good communication skills and be dedicated to providing high quality care to patients. They will also need to have a UK driving license and access to a vehicle to travel across the north of Manchester to be able to carry out home visits. Main duties of the job Assess and treat own caseload of patients in a variety of settings, including patients homes and clinics, who need specialist neurological rehabilitation. To act as an autonomous practitioner and source of expertise in these areas to junior staff and other health care professionals. Undertakes training including audit and evaluation.
