Job summary The three Partner Trusts have set an objective of creating a singleprocurement function which will help support the sustainable provisionof clinical and non-clinical services. A newly formed Humber & North Yorkshire Procurement Collaborative, hosted by Hull University Teaching chain services to its Partner Trusts, and may extend over time to service other bodies within the Integrated Care System. This vacancy is based at York District Hospital. Main duties of the job Working as a Supply Chain Operative at York District Hospital tocoordinate the provision of a range of procurement services, contributingto the cleanliness, security and safety of equipment and stockthroughout the Trust. You will work within clearly defined proceduresusing your own initiative on routine matters and refer to the site leadwhen necessary. Stocking clinical and non-clinical areas with products delivered, maintaining stock rotation to minimise wastage and scanning to reorder stock against agreed stock levels.You will supervise a small team of band 2 Supply ChainAssistants to ensure a consistent service is delivered to stakeholdersacross the Trust site. You will work to ensure an efficient and effective customer focused service is provided for all staff across the site ensuring they can deliver excellent patient care.
