The business is a globally recognised food manufacturer and one of the biggest employers in West Bromwich with over 500 employees and is partnered with some of the most iconic brands in the UK. They have an exceptional reputation within the industry and operate out of a fully automated state-of-the-art plant. They have recently developed an in-house training programme whereby current and new maintenance engineers will have the chance to learn electrical skills such as PLC up-skilling with a new test rig. For this role, you will be a mechanically biased maintenance engineer.
Responsibilities:
As a maintenance engineer, some of the machines you will be working on include, but are not limited to: ovens, fryers, conveyors, packaging machines, robots, slicers, provers, metal detectors, and other bespoke machinery.

Experience required for the role as a mechanical maintenance engineer:
1. At least 5 years' experience working as a mechanically biased maintenance engineer
2. Experience within a fast-paced FMCG environment is advantageous
3. Experience with belts, chains, conveyors, pulleys, straps, gearboxes, etc. is advantageous
4. Experience working in a manufacturing environment as a maintenance engineer
