Purpose
The purpose of the Inventory and Production Planner role is to ensure the efficient and effective management of inventory and production processes within the organisation. This involves:
Responsibilities / Key Deliverables
* Raise and send purchase orders, according to production requirements.
* Monitor daily stock levels to identify potential shortages.
* Issuing of Client delay Notices to the wider team, once all options have been explored.
* Monitoring of stock requirements to drive efficiencies for both NaughtOne and the suppliers.
* Co-ordinate logistics of the transfer for stock and any transport requirements which fall outside of standard arrangements.
* Support and drive the implementation of processes, controls and reporting across the business.
* Liaise with suppliers to negotiate improved lead times.
* Manage short lead-time requests and customer changes from the business through to the supplier.
* Arrange and attend weekly supplier meetings to ensure OTIF deliveries.
* Maintenance of data in internal systems.
* Liaise with suppliers to resolve any outstanding queries and issues within agreed SLA.
* Liaise with other colleagues across the Operations teams to resolve issues relating to deliveries within agreed timescales.
* Ensure level loading of demand against available production minutes to prevent bottlenecks and maintain smooth operations.
* Daily updates on production progress against the schedule.
* Reporting any delays, issues, or deviations from the plan.
* Process component Orders to support manufacturing in the states.
* Process stock adjustment in the system.

* Ability to balance inventory levels to meet demand while minimising holding costs and avoiding stockouts.
* Understanding of supply chain principles, including procurement, warehousing, logistics, and distribution.
* Expertise in managing stock replenishment processes to maintain optimal inventory levels.
* Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
* Ability to identify and resolve inventory-related issues, such as discrepancies, shortages, and overstock situations.
* Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
* Ability to identify issues, analyse root causes, and implement effective solutions.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with suppliers, colleagues, and management.
* Strong organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
* Effective time management skills to ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
* Flexibility to adjust plans and strategies in response to changing conditions and demands.
* Ability to think strategically and align inventory and production planning with overall business goals.
* Commitment to continuous improvement and the ability to drive process enhancements.
* Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
Dimension of role
The role reports to the Procurement Manager based at the NaughtOne Head Office in Harrogate. The role holder will be expected to work from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Primary location: NaughtOne Head Office in Harrogate. Secondary location: The factory in Elland, where the role holder will be expected to work up to two days a week.
