Position Summary The Securities Services Operations Governance and Controls team has an open role at Executive Director level for a candidate with 1LOD or 2LOD experience in risk assessment or analysis to support the Firmwide Risk Assessor and Firmwide Risk Approver for Transaction Processing and Reporting (TPR) risk. TPR is the Firm’s Level 2 risk which encapsulates operational failures or delays related to inaccurate or untimely processing of transactions or issues with process management such as transaction reporting, trade capture and payment execution errors. The role is newly established to support an increasing requirement within the Firm for 1LOD oversight and analysis of operational risk and will support reporting to senior management and Board level governance, reporting into the head of Securities Services Operations Governance and Controls (SSO G&C). The candidate will have the support of the broader Controls Management team within the Securities Services Operations organisation, and will partner with a number of Senior Executives globally, to ensure that the Firmwide Risk Approver and Assessor have a clear and substantiated view of TPR risk on an ongoing basis across JPMorgan. We are looking for UK-based candidates who will be able to attend the London office in person as required: this role is unlikely to require more than domestic travel. Job responsibilities Lead the process for compiling and challenging LOB quarterly reporting of Firmwide TPR Qualitative Operational Risk Assessments (QORA); this includes direct responsibility for drafting and completing the CIB’s LOB commentary and Firmwide TPR Executive Summary, presenting the quarterly reporting to the Firmwide Assessor and Approver and engaging with the global QORA teams in 1LOD and 2LOD to ensure a x-LOD view of risk is achieved in comprehensive, high quality reporting Prepare and finalise quarterly Operational Risk Summaries (ORS) for the CIB Partner with regional controls teams and 2LOD colleagues to prepare and finalise quarterly QORA for senior management and boards of the UK Legal Entities Develop an engagement and governance framework for the creation of TPR reporting across both CIB and Firmwide Engage and actively participate in Risk Stripe Lead (RSL) community forums; work with senior risk stripe leads globally to support and drive standardisation, automation, continuous improvement, endorse best practice, identify opportunities and to share lessons learned Engage with established programs in place to develop Compliance Risk Assessments firmwide, as required Required Qualifications, Skills & Capabilities Required A strong understanding of the Financial Services industry and relevant regulatory environments Ability to consistently deliver work of a high standard appropriate for consumption at Senior Executive and Board level Manage and develop a broad range of relationships with senior stakeholders globally, particularly across the Controls Management teams supporting all businesses and functions within the firm Strong and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to: Communicate succinctly, providing opinion and challenge to senior stakeholders, as appropriate Experience of liaising with and presenting to senior management and stakeholders Excellent attention to detail with the ability to deliver high quality output Ability to influence and partner with others to achieve desired outcomes Ability to read, digest and summarise regulatory requirements, operational data and reporting and internal policies and procedures Preferred: Previous experience in Operational Risk Management and/or Controls Management Prior experience of working with or delivering work to regulators Experience of data analysis and optimising, rationalising and automating data to deliver efficiency and enhanced quality output using low code / no code tools such as Tableau and Alteryx JP Morgan is an equal opportunities employer
