Ifield School is seeking to appoint a full-time or part-time Speech and Language Therapist to join our friendly and professional therapy team. The successful candidate will be working with pupils aged 4-19 who have speech, language and communication difficulties associated with profound, severe and complex needs, including ASD.
The Speech and Language Therapy team are an integral part of our school and provides the following services:
1. Implementation of speech and language therapy provision for pupils from Reception class to learners in year 14.
2. Upskilling staff to implement strategies and approaches in line with Ifield School’s Total Communication Approach.
3. Working with families and professionals to support communication in a range of contexts.
Ifield School is an outstanding school with a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Appointment to this position will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
Salary is equivalent to NHS Agenda for change Band 5/6 depending on experience. The successful applicant must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and be a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
