Job Description Service Operations Officer - Forecasting & Planning Specialist Full time Derby / Hybrid 3 days on-site What you will be doing: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Forecasting and Planning Specialist to join the Data Services Team, based in Derby. This team is critical to the success of Rolls-Royce's digital ambition. As a Forecasting and Planning Specialist, you will ensure the Civil Airlines business receives timely and accurate forecasting services. Our aim is to enhance delivery and increase the value of the customer facing business unit’s aftermarket services. The team deliver over 1800 shop visit removal forecasts per year for every customer fleet, with each forecast spanning up to 25 years. These forecasts predict the expected number of engine flying hours and shop visits enabling Rolls-Royce to optimise the financial outcome from our contracts. Responsibilities: Production and delivery of forecasts to support Civil Airlines business planning cycles: Managing service requests through the centralised mailbox. Operation and configuration of the Forecasting Toolset. First line support / service management for Forecasting Toolset: Maintain relationship with improvement programmes such as Forecasting Development Team, Business Planning and Forecasting Programme to ensure that the services voice is heard. Maintain relationship with lead users and consumers of the forecasts. Maintain appropriate governance of change. Identify & prioritise opportunities to simplify and increase efficiency & effectiveness: Ensure customer improvements are fully understood and adequately captured. Drive delivery of change Measure forecast accuracy and demonstrate continuous improvement. Support effective communication with the Service Business Centre on standards and best practice.
