About the role: We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile professional to join our clients team as a Territory Manager. This position will primarily focus on territory trade marketing activities, representing our clients brand and driving sales within the assigned territory.Additionally, the role involves managing the relationship with the master distributor in the territory. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, possess excellent communication skills, and have a deep understanding of marketing and sales strategies. Key Responsibilities: Territory Trade Marketing (80% of Time): Develop and implement effective trade marketing strategies to promote brand awareness, increase product visibility, and drive sales within the assigned territory. Collaborate with regional sales teams to identify and exploit market opportunities, set sales targets, and establish promotional campaigns. Conduct regular market research and analysis to identify market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences. Build and maintain strong relationships with key trade partners, including retailers, wholesalers, and distributors. Organise and execute trade marketing activities such as product demonstrations, point-of-sale displays, trade shows, and promotional events. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of trade marketing initiatives, gather feedback, and make recommendations for continuous improvement. Account Management (20% of Time): Serve as the main point of contact for the master distributor within the territory, ensuring a strong business relationship. Collaborate closely with the master distributor to understand their needs, align marketing strategies, and achieve mutual business objectives. Provide product training and support to the distributor's sales team, assisting them in effectively promoting and selling our products. Monitor and analyse sales performance and market trends of the master distributor, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion. Resolve any issues or concerns raised by the master distributor, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. Coordinate with internal departments, including sales, marketing, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products to the distributor. Territory Management: Conduct regular visits to retailers, wholesalers, and other trade partners within the territory to build relationships, address concerns, and gather market insights. Continuously expand the network of trade partners and identify new business opportunities to drive sales growth. Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of trade partners, including contact information, sales performance, and market feedback. Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, expenses, and mileage using company-provided tools. Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities within the territory. Coordinate with the sales and marketing teams to ensure the availability of marketing materials, product samples, and promotional items. The Ideal Candidate: Proven experience in trade marketing, account management, or related roles. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory. Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
