SALARY: £68,202-£75,780
LOCATION(S): Halifax, Manchester andLeeds
HOURS: Fulltime
WORKING PATTERN: Atleast two days per week (or 40% of your time) at one of our officeslisted above. The team is predominately based in Halifax thereforethe preferred location for this role is Halifax however, as we'refully supportive of hybrid ways of working, we welcome applicationsfrom colleagues based in Manchester or Leeds but occasional travelto Halifax will be required to support collaborative working withthe wider team.

Specificactivities which you'll be responsible for include thingslike.
* Act as aSubject Matter Expert on GKE/AKS providing technical decisionmaking andmentoring
* Streamlining ofoperational processes through automation and systemsthinking
* Supplying technicalleadership during service outages to recover services throughincident and problemmanagement
* Leading andcontributing to blameless post-mortems for seriousincidents
* Improving andembedding new SRE practices to improve levels ofservice
* Management of DevOpstooling services through the service lifecycle including riskmanagement andcompliance
* UnderstandingEngineering Teams challenges and helping them deliver value throughconsultancy and the implementation of robust DevOpssolutions
* Creatingsustainable change and buildcapabilities

What you’llneed:
* Experience asa SRE, Software Engineer, DevOps Engineer or in a similar softwareor cloud role
* Strongcritical thinking skills, leading live support, incident managementand resolution
* Technicalleadership experience
* Strongunderstanding of SRE concepts andprinciples
* Experience ofCI/CD across various tooling and a good understanding ofDevOps
* Excellent analyticalskills and able to work methodically anddiligently
* Programming andscriptingexperience
* Displayingexcellent interpersonal and communicationskills
* A passion forservice, ensuring our colleagues and customers receive the mostreliable servicepossible
Anyexperience of these would be reallyuseful
* CloudPlatforms –GCP/OpenShift/Azure
* Containerisation–Kubernetes/Docker/Podman/Buildah
* CI/CD– Jenkins/Tekton/GitHubActions/Harness/ArgoCD
* Monitoring– Dynatrace
* Experienceadministering – Nexus RM / Nexus Firewall / Nexus Lifecycle/SonarQube
* Infrastructure asCode e.g. Chef, Terraform,Ansible
* LinuxAdministration
* ITIL orService managementexperience
* Formal softwaredevelopment experience
* Agilework practices
