An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for a Service Manager to join our TARA (Trafficking Awareness Raising Alliance) Service on a permanent basis.
TARA provides a specialist, trauma informed support service for women survivors of human trafficking and exploitation recovered across Scotland.
Interviews for this post are anticipated to be held on Wednesday 30 April and Friday 2 May 2025.
Position Details
The Service helps to identify and support women who may have been trafficked for the purposes of commercial sexual exploitation providing help to access safe accommodation, health and legal advice, ongoing advocacy and can respond to urgent referrals 24/7.
TARA are committed to supporting the meaningful inclusion of lived experience and facilitates a vibrant, survivor led, advisory group.
The Service Manager role coordinates and ensures the effective delivery of the frontline TARA Service and provides support to the Operations Manager in delivering the service across Scotland to ensure we meet women’s needs alongside our funding outcomes.
The role will involve undertaking a 1 week in 3 Crisis Response on-call standby arrangement, covering the hours of 5pm – 9am, along with the chairing of the weekly Crisis Response Team meeting on a Wednesday.

An SCQF Level 7 qualification or significant relevant experience is an essential requirement of the role. A full current driving licence is desirable.
Additionally, due to a genuine occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010 this post is restricted to women only.
Contract Details
Weekly Hours: 35 per week
Work Pattern: Monday – Tuesday, 9am – 5pm; Wednesday, 11am – 7pm; Thursday – Friday, 9am – 5pm inclusive of a 1-hour unpaid break each day
Annual Salary: £42,791.00 - £49,115.04 on an incremental scale
Additional Payments: For each week of standby undertaken, a payment of £110.70 will be claimable with additional payments for disturbances and work undertaken during standby
