The post holder will work across the Directorate to realise the potential of the Wellbeing and Prevention Service. The service manager will operationalise the concept of ‘The No Wrong Door’ service design into an operational multi-disciplinary service ensuring timely assistance and support to the most vulnerable households in Fife. Whilst located in the Children and Families and Justice Service the postholder will be working with all services within the Directorate (Housing, Communities & Neighbourhoods and Customer Services) You will work with partners across this Directorate, Council, Health and Social Care Partnership and Third Sector to develop referral pathways, models of intervention, oversight arrangements, measurable performance indicators and cohesive multi-disciplinary working, ensuring communities and households are resilient, reducing the need for long term interventions and support. The service manager will be skilled in assessing and managing risk and supporting this workforce to identify need and risk and manage this appropriately within this new service reducing the need for multiple services and interventions within a household. Developing a framework for assessing and supporting welfare needs within households and communities will be essential. You will provide supervision to managers. You will have autonomy to lead this programme of change, developing an operational service and framework that can be rolled out across Fife. You will be responsible for developing a service vision and goals across a multi-disciplinary setting and ensuring that staff are engaged in a comprehensive training programme to achieve the ambition of the wellbeing and prevention service. You will work with the service manager for strategic commissioning to ensure that this service along with other transformational programmes connect with the 3 rd Sector ensuring a range of services are available in communities to meet the needs of Fifers. You will lead and manage staff through a programme of change. You must be a skilled and experienced senior manager within the profession of Social Work and have worked within a senior leadership position. You will report on progress to Elected Members, Directorate Management Team, Executive Director of Communities and the Council Executive Team. The Person You will be an experienced manager within Social Work and will have held a senior management position. You will be a motivated and enthusiastic leader who can produce high quality reports, presentations and strategy. You must be able to work in partnership with all staff across the Communities Directorate and have a proven ability to lead integrated services. You need to be a highly motivated and enthusiastic leader who has a track record of managing and implementing change.
