Senior + Geotechnical Design Engineer / Analyst

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop ground models and determine geotechnical parameters.
* Analysis and Design of various geotechnical structures including piles, foundations (shallow, raft, piled rafts), retaining walls, ground anchors, slopes, etc.
* Temporary works design and construction sequencing.
* Conduct detailed Ground Movement Analysis & Asset Impact Assessments. Proven experience of doing these using PLAXIS 3D would be a distinct advantage. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary external teams, contractors, and clients to deliver successful projects.
* Technical report writing.
* Act as a mentor to junior engineers and provide technical support/training as needed.
Skills and Experience:
* Strong understanding of soil mechanics and soil/structure interaction.
* Use of software tools such as Oasys Pile, Alp, PDisp, Adsec, ADC, Rocscience Slide, WALLAP, TEEDS, AutoCAD, and Excel. Proven experience in numerical FEA modelling is a must, and competency in the use of PLAXIS 3D would be desirable and advantageous. Good knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards and relevant CIRIA guides.
* Experience in understanding of ground investigation techniques and specifying geotechnical testing (in-situ and laboratory) while interpreting results accurately.
* Chartered or near Chartered Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers or appropriate professional body.
