Contract: Permanent Closing date: Friday 17th January Recruitment Partner: Anastasia Walker About the role As Product Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing & delivering the 3-year product pipeline within our £300m Boots brand Beauty & General Merchandise business, supporting the wider RoB consumer strategy. You’ll have full accountability for the end-to-end product development across your own categories, from creating compelling, consumer-led concepts, through to delivering the finished new product on shelf. You’ll react fast to changing category dynamics and market trends, identifying opportunities to add value & meet customer needs better than ever before. You’ll roll out the new Boots brand visual identity (BVI), ensuring every product in your range is grounded in quality, efficacy, sustainability, value & inclusivity. You’ll work closely with your colleagues in the category, technical, regulatory & medical affairs teams, along with design & artwork agencies to bring your products to life in the most compelling way. You’ll build strong relationships with the marketing teams, activating your products in a way that challenges perceptions of both RoB and High Street sun care. You’ll lead by example, nurturing your direct report(s) talent driving in product development, positioning & delivery within the categories they work on. About you Are you passionate about products? Are you the “they really should invent that” one at the dinner table? Do you have experience grounded in distilling complexity into simple, consumer-led messaging? In addition to this, the following skills are strongly sought after for the Product Manager role: You’re able to demonstrate extensive experience in end-to-end product development. Experience in sun care is preferable, ideally demonstrating how you can navigate a tightly regulated and complex product environment. You’re passionate about good design, with a strong understanding of consumer-led product positioning, message hierarchies, claims wording, iconography and colour. Excellence in communication: You’re articulate and your storytelling is of a high standard, both verbally and written. This role is pretty copy-heavy, from pack copy writing to sell-in presentations. Strong impact. With the right resources available to you, you can demonstrate an in-depth knowledge & understanding of your categories and markets. Your work is clear and easy to follow, and your rationale for decision making is powerful and hard to dispute, making stakeholder alignment as easy as possible. You have experience in leading a team. You’re a consistent role model for leadership behaviours, setting a good example to those around you. You’re able to demonstrate your ability to deliver through others, via unwavering support, confidence to lean into challenges & commitment to their personal development. You build & nurture productive relationships and can demonstrate experience in working well within cross functional teams. You recognise that collaboration with other experts is the way forward and can navigate conflicting targets to achieve a common goal. You spot opportunities where others don’t and are determined to see your new product ideas through to delivery, demonstrating your completer-finisher mindset.
