This role offers a fantastic opportunity to lead the development of Agri-Science and Technology programmes, focusing on precision agriculture, sustainability, and digital innovation in agriculture. Main Responsibilities: Leadership and Management: Lead the development of Agri-Science and Technology within the Higher Education department. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advance IoT developments in agriculture. Establish industry links to enhance the Agri-Science and Technology and sustainability agenda. Manage course compliance, quality assurance, and positive student outcomes. Support curriculum planning, marketing, recruitment, and timetabling. Teaching, Learning, and Assessment: Plan, prepare, and deliver a caseload of high-quality teaching hours. Ensure compliance with academic regulations, policies, and procedures. Develop resources and improvements within the department. Manage marking and assessment of modules in a timely and high-quality manner. Professional Development and Student Support: Engage in professional development activities. Manage student expectations, behaviour, and welfare. Support work placement activities and student appraisals/tutorials. Qualifications and Experience: Essential: Educated to Masters level or equivalent in an agricultural-related subject. Experience of leading a team or projects. Experience applying theory-based subjects to practical settings. Knowledge of the higher education sector. Strong sector-based links to ensure curriculum meets employer and sector needs. Desirable: Teaching qualification. Knowledge of Pro-Solutions suite. Ability to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research. Skills and Attributes: Confident in designing and delivering high-quality teaching and assessments. A learner-centred approach with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritise, multi-task, and use initiative effectively. Flexibility to work flexible hours, including some evenings and occasional weekends. Full driving licence and access to a vehicle. Why Join Us?
