Enhance the learning experience of students by:
1. Facilitating high-quality practice learning in accordance with Quality Frameworks and standards, developing solutions to improve quality of placements.
2. Supporting diverse practice placements as part of the placement expansion.
3. Supporting managers and assessors/supervisors for learners on undergraduate and other training programmes.
4. Supporting Healthcare Support Worker development and career conversations.
5. Providing support for those supervising and assessing learners.
6. Developing and delivering clinical teaching where appropriate, including Corporate/Clinical Induction, development programmes, and care certificate.
7. Providing advice and guidance with performance issues with learners with the support of the Undergraduate Educational Development Manager and Higher Education Institutes and Colleges.
8. Working with colleagues to provide pastoral care of students and learners.
9. Working with assessors/supervisors to support practice outcomes and relevant development.
10. Enhancing the clinical learning environment in accordance with HEE Quality Standards.
11. Enhancing inter-professional working and learning to promote education across the organisation.
12. Developing policies and strategies to support development.
13. Supporting recruitment and retention initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Work with the Undergraduate Educational Development Manager and team in supporting learners and support workers in the workplace, primarily supporting BSc Nursing, Nursing Associate, Associate Practitioner, and T Level students, as well as Health Care Support Workers, Care Certificate and other learners Bands 2-4.
2. Support managers within the divisions to enhance the quality of the practice learning environment, providing support, educational input, and development for undergraduate learners while acting as a role model in clinical practice.
3. Utilize initiative, analytical skills, and judgement, working autonomously and collaboratively with all Integrated Education team members.
4. Contribute as a proactive team member in the wider Integrated Education team to promote inter-educational learning, collaborating with all Integrated Education Clinical Educators to facilitate seamless communication and a unified learning approach.
5. Work collaboratively with colleagues, practice placements, clinical staff, and education providers to promote high-quality clinical practice through continuous professional development, clinical teaching, supervision, and assessment; and the implementation and evaluation of robust educational governance processes in accordance with national standards.
