The goal of configuration management is to ensure proper control of the client baseline, from requirement to the physical product, passing by design, inherited and replicated from the original design, and modified to comply with new client site-specific conditions or changes within the supply chain.
Activities to be carried out as part of the service include:
* Producing and/or updating Configuration and Replication procedures applicable to the client at a project-wide level.
* Configuration procedures can relate, for example, to Open Points and Design Changes. Other activities related to the configuration and replication procedures could become part of the service depending on workload balance, e.g.:
* Creation/update of training material and delivery of training sessions.
* Establishment, production, and assessment of KPIs/metrics.
* Production of status accounting reports.
