Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development of young learners. You will play a key role in managing the nursery setting, ensuring that each child receives the highest quality of care and education.
Duties
1. Plan and implement engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of children.
2. Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children in your care.
3. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and support children's learning.
4. Manage daily nursery operations, including maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the learning space.
5. Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and adapting activities as necessary.
6. Lead by example, demonstrating effective leadership skills to guide junior staff and volunteers.
7. Promote positive behaviour through consistent routines and clear expectations.
8. Stay updated on best practices in early childhood education and participate in professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
1. Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is essential.
2. A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or Childcare is preferred.
3. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
4. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
5. A proactive drive to create an enriching learning environment for young children.
6. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
7. Knowledge of nursery operations and early years curriculum frameworks is advantageous.
