We are looking for a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer to provide a secure and safe environment for all staff & visitors on site. This will be achieved through applying thorough access control procedures, carrying out site inductions, planned & ad-hoc site patrols together with other duties as determined by the Assignment Instructions. In the event of an emergency follow prescribed escalation/communication procedures with Site Management, Corps colleagues and the emergency services. You will be working an average of 56 hours per week 7 days, 3 off, 7 days, 4 off shift pattern. Shifts will be 06:00-18:00. A valid SIA Front-Line License - essential Previous Control Room Experience - advantageous Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good and effective working relationships at all levels. Ability to work to deadlines, multitasking and working under pressure. Excellent IT Skills including Microsoft Software Packages (e.g. Excel) Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards What are you going to do: Maintain overall surveillance of the site, carrying out regular site patrols and recording these as per Corps Security and Customer requirements. Ensuring all visitors and contractors to site are correctly briefed, sign in and out of the site. Monitoring CCTV and BMS alarm systems. Alarm Response. Conducting external foot patrols using a phone based patrol system. Record the entry and exit of all visitors and vehicles whilst administrating thorough ID checks. Perform detailed equipment checks at the beginning of each shift. Provide First Aid assistance as and when required. Conduct thorough bag checks in line with site policies. Escort people out of the building as and when required. Ensure all vehicles have valid parking permits. Produce detailed Incident Reports and ensure site DOB is updated accordingly.
