Fibre Installs Engineer
Location: Aberdeenshire
Working Pattern: 40 hrs per week, Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm, on a rota (1 - 6 Saturdays)
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience

Our Installation and Splicing Team is growing in line with our achievements and ambitions and will play a pivotal role in our success story.
WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON
* Delivering an excellent Fibre to the home (FTTH) experience to our customers
* Self-certifying your own work before signing off as complete
* Installation & servicing of our fibre network infrastructure equipment
* Signal testing using testers provided
* Ensuring Health & Safety is a priority when working onsite
* Onsite surveys for new customers and locations
* Identifying and recommending ways to improve the network and our procedures
* Building relationships across GoFibre and collaborating with different teams
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
* UK Manual driving license with no more than 6 points
* SA001 PIA certification
* SA002 PIA certification
* S7 / S8 PIA certification
* NRSWA accreditation
* Good written and numerical skills
* Knowledge of overhead and underground fibre network installation
* Working at Height including ladder, pole and tower climbing
* Fibre Splicing
* Fault finding & rectification
* Experience in telecommunications business
* Experience working from an exchange
* OTDR and other Fibre Testing methodologies
* Knowledge of Physical Infrastructure Access (PIA)
