RJF24-89 HR & Payroll Assistant Staff Position, Norwich
This is an exciting opportunity to join the HR department. Working alongside the HR & Payroll Teams, the role will support both functions and shall be integral to the running and successful delivery of HR requirements.
The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills and be able to demonstrate attention to detail in their work and understand how to prioritise the demands of this busy role. It is important that the successful candidate supports efficient, productive HR & Payroll administration functions, keeping records up to date and ensuring processes are followed.
This is a Monday to Friday role to be based at the Norwich office.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Payroll Tasks (50%)
1. Processing Sickness – Maintain sickness tracker and inform payroll team about sickness deductions
2. Processing Holiday - Maintain holiday calendar import
3. Maintain Shift-Patterns in the HR/Payroll system and process import from ATS
4. Supporting the Payroll & Pensions Manager with other tasks as needed
5. Overtime claims check in line with company policy
6. Processing new starters for Dixstone and Petrodec
7. Process P45 for leavers
HR Tasks (50%)
1. Processing new starters
2. Processing leavers
3. Support with management of benefit system and benefit administration
4. Maintaining and updating all HR systems and databases
5. Managing new starter induction
6. Updating organisation charts
7. Maintaining up to date and accurate employee files
8. Dealing with system notifications and other inbox queries
9. Write and send letters as requested
10. Supporting the HR Business Partners with other tasks as needed
11. Credit card statement management
12. Eye care voucher process
13. Logging and authorisation of invoices
14. Conduct exit interviews where required
Key Requirements Include:
Qualifications:
1. CIPD qualified (desirable)
Experience:
1. Strong administrative and analytical background
2. Previous HR or payroll experience (desired)
3. Experience of working with iTrent (desired)
4. Experience of working with confidential information
5. IT literacy in Microsoft packages, i.e. Word/Excel
6. Query management
7. Prioritisation
