Location: London (4+ days/week in-office with some flexibility)
Overview
Kinrock is a dynamic and growing group of tech-enabled business service companies delivering high-quality e-learning, compliance, and software solutions to hundreds of UK businesses. Following a period of strategic acquisitions, we are now focused on ambitious organic growth and operational excellence across our group.
You can learn more at kinrock.com, and about our operating companies at Zing365.co.uk, RedmillAdvance.com, Microw.com, and Red-IT.co.uk.
We’re looking for a high-calibre, hands-on individual to join our lean central team as Head of Business Operations, reporting directly to the Founder & Managing Director. This is a solo role in the medium term—ideal for someone who wants meaningful scope and ownership in a scaling environment.
You will lead operational functions across the group with a focus on four core areas:
* People Operations – building performance systems for employees, contractors, and suppliers
* Revenue Operations – owning CRM and commercial infrastructure across the group
* Resilience & Compliance – ensuring operational continuity via external partnerships
* Special Projects – supporting operating companies on growth initiatives, including playbooks for future acquisitions
Key Responsibilities
* Hands-on, solo role reporting to Founder / Managing Director
* Be a right-hand person, problem-solver and thought partner for the MD group-wide
* Lead and improve people operations across the group—including OKRs, monthly check-ins, performance management, hiring coordination, internal comms, and live job descriptions for employees and contractors
* Own revenue ops (including Hubspot) across the opcos
* Optimise revenue operations and partnership processes across OpCos
* Act as the point of contact for all non-marketing external operational providers (e.g. IT, HR, insurance, legal, compliance)
* Oversee compliance requirements (GDPR, HR, health & safety), working closely with trusted external advisors
* Design and document internal processes that drive efficiency and service delivery
* Manage operations for offices in London, Bristol, and Edinburgh with support from local teams and contractors
* Develop operational playbooks to guide future post-acquisition integrations
* In general, own business operations across the group to drive ARR growth for the group by freeing up opco S&M teams and elevating our processes
Requirements
* You want to be part of a high-quality, ambitious core team on a mission to achieve something great over the next decade
* Despite your experience, you're wired to be hands-on—no task is beneath you, and you're always looking to raise the bar (a solo role to start)
* You have a demonstrable track record of excellence in previous roles, showing high standards, initiative, and clear results
* 5–10 years of experience in business operations, including people ops, revenue ops, BI, data analysis and compliance/resilience
* 3–5 years of experience in a B2B SaaS or B2B services business
* Demonstrated ability to create a performance-oriented, supportive people culture — not just HR admin
* Proven ability to deliver operational improvements end-to-end
* Strong experience with CRM systems (ideally HubSpot) including configuration and administration
* Advanced Excel skills for operational and market tracking and analysis
* Experience working with external consultants to manage compliance (e.g. GDPR, H&S, ISO)
* Exceptional documentation habits and attention to detail
* Strong communicator who builds trust and drives alignment across teams
* Experience building marketing partnerships
* Experience either working for a UK SME or advising / consulting for UK SMEs
* Expertise with automation tools (e.g. Zapier)
* Experience using AI tools
What We Offer
* £80,000–100,000 base salary + performance-based bonus (£100,000–125,000 OTE)
* 33 days holiday per year (including bank holidays) plus additional bonus days such as your birthday
* Private medical insurance
* A focused, collaborative team culture with high standards and low ego
* The chance to shape a high-impact role at the centre of a growing group of companies
