Job Description
The post holder will be part of a team that is responsible for deployment of best practice in Information Management within Property & Estates and will improve service delivery for internal and external customers.
Assist business users in developing line-of-business applications to deliver Property & Estates business objectives by eliciting user requirements through; structured analysis, assisting in developing specifications that inform the acquisition and/or development of these applications and developing/maintaining appropriate documentation. Additionally, apply suitable testing regimes and release processes to ensure solutions are delivered within quality, time, and cost parameters.
Assist in identifying information deficits/overlaps and provide advice on potential opportunities to optimize information processes. This will support Property & Estates decision-making, reporting, and performance management across the division, accommodating its diverse information requirements, working practices, processes, and culture.
Essential Criteria
* A minimum of a degree level qualification (or equivalent) in a Business, Construction, or IT related subject with 2 years experience as a Business Analyst in a property or infrastructure projects environment OR A minimum of an HNC/D level qualification (or equivalent) in a Business, Construction, or IT related subject with 4 years experience as a Business Analyst in a property or infrastructure projects environment.
* Minimum of 2 years experience in a role which has had a significant element of data analysis, eg SQL and presentation.
* Minimum of 2 years experience of working with large relational databases and data management tools.
* Experience of BI tools particularly Power BI, focused primarily on presentation and data mining.
Desirable Criteria
* Experience with the complexities of cross-functional issue identification, prioritisation and resolution.
* Experience in the use of data modelling tools (e.g., UML)
* Knowledge of MySQL and Microsoft Access
* Awareness of legislative/compliance frameworks pertaining to data and information management including General Data Protection Regulation
* Possess an understanding of technical monitoring and management tools
* Experience in producing or developing information standards that can be easily adopted and communicated across an organisation.
