Commercial Sales Manager One of the UK’s leading providers of critical nationwide maritime infrastructure is looking for a commercial manager to help grow revenue. This will require you to identity, pursue and deliver profitable new business opportunities in the Humber region. This company are a provider of maritime infrastructure services who business in incredibly diverse and complex. Responsibilities include. Identify and develop new business opportunities and work to convert these to maximise EBITDA growth and customer satisfaction. Actively manage and take ownership of all matters related to customer accounts, ensuring input is sought from other functions in order to meet revenue and volume growth. Negotiate commercial agreements in conjunction with the Head of Commercial & Sales and with support from other members of the team and Head Office legal department. Manage existing commercial agreements in relation to performance and pricing on a structured basis, and in conjunction with regular review meetings with the customer. Actively assist with the development and maintenance of commercial systems (CRM), metrics and reports. In conjunction with Head of Commercial & Sales prepare Board Papers and complete financial back checks, as required, to ensure that commercial prospects receive approval and are in line with customers’ expectations and the company’s financial targets. Participate or lead in Industry Teams and develop new opportunities. Promote the Humber ports and national portfolio of ports, by developing and maintaining strong networking links with key stakeholders. Support the creation of all regional, or group, marketing material, website content; production of customer, regional and corporate communications and social media activity Advise on developments within the ports industry and in particular competitor ports. Support the Head of Commercial & Sales in the full and successful implementation of the Group Commercial Strategy, i.e. Key Account Management, Industry Teams and Port Strategy Days. Bring an entrepreneurial approach to the search for new business supported by a positive “can do” approach. To liaise with other ports and Head Office on commercial matters which may affect either or both parties. Be alert to opportunities for UK and European Grants which the Company may be eligible for. Key skill required in the position are as follows: Strong Commercial background. Demonstrable experience and capability to grow the business revenues and profitability. Demonstrable customer services excellence. Presentation skills. Tenacious and proactive. Experience of developing innovative and practical solutions to challenges. Working knowledge of the structure of commercial agreements and contracts. Must be numerate and financially aware. A team player capable of working with others to develop and deliver team objectives. Highly motivated, with a positive attitude. Ability to effectively manage and prioritise workload. Ability to assert authority in order to meet agreed timescales and deadlines and to overcome problems. Excellent interpersonal skills, to liaise and build relationships with key stakeholders. Qualified to degree level in a relevant subject. Some experience of the sectors of our customers. Experience and understanding of port operations. Estates and property management exposure. Experience working with third parties to create new agreements, contracts, licences to meet the business requirements. Experience undertaking market and competitor analysis. Experience developing pricing models/charging arrangements for new business.
