St Andrew's School is looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working individual to maintain our Sports Centre, ensuring it is safe, clean and well-presented.
As a Sports Centre Operations Assistant, you will play an important role in ensuring the safe running of the Sports Centre when it is being used by commercial hirers. You will also be responsible for carrying out routine checks and swimming pool water tests. Therefore, the ideal candidate will either possess a National Pool Plant Operators qualification or Pool Water Testing qualification, however either one of these can be obtained after appointment.
Health & Safety will be your first priority, performing routine checks on the pool, fire, and security, as well as supporting the initial response to any incidents in the sports centre.
You will also ensure the sports facilities are prepared for the chosen activity and will play a key customer service role by welcoming regular customers to the facility.
You will be able to demonstrate your ability to work well independently, along with confidence and a commitment to delivering high standards. An up to date First Aid qualification or National Pool Lifeguard Certificate would also be desirable but is not essential.
