Job overview
SDH Developments Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary company of Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, provides pharmacy services to patients and visitors attending the Outpatients Department at Torbay Hospital. We are now looking for a pharmacy dispenser to join our team.
In this role, you will dispense medicines for patients and undertake related duties including ordering and receipt of stock, and be involved in the provision of an efficient and effective ‘front of house’ service for customers, including the sale of medicines.
You will have excellent communication, organisational, and customer service skills, and be an effective team player. You will work well in a pressured environment.
Main duties of the job
As an Outpatient Pharmacy Dispenser, you will:
* Dispense medicines for patients.
* Undertake related duties including ordering and receipt of stock.
* Provide an efficient and effective ‘front of house’ service for customers, including the sale of medicines.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
* NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or nationally recognised equivalent qualifications)
* GCSE English and Maths
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Computer literate
* Understanding of Health & Safety Legislation and Risk Management
* Moderate periods of standing and lifting light pharmaceutical products
* Work pattern generally predictable with periods of concentration required for dispensing
