Description | Salary £25,183 - £27,269 | Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week | The Facilities Management Team | International Sponsorship – this role is not open to international sponsorship An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Facilities Management Team at Lancashire County Council. We are looking to recruit an Area Cleaning Coordinator who will be responsible for the cleaning of buildings within the central part of Lancashire. The Facilities Management team is responsible for some for some of the most prestigious and iconic buildings in Lancashire. These buildings provide essential services to the community and vulnerable people. Keeping these buildings clean, is as important as the service the building provides. The Facilities Management team are responsible for the cleaning of Lancashire Constabulary premises. The successful candidate will be required to pass the Police Vetting process. Building users demand high standards of cleaning, so prior experience of supervising cleaning staff is desirable; however full training and ongoing support will be provided. Ensuring adequate resources are in place in line with the cleaning requirements of a building and ensuring a high quality service is delivered to meet the needs of specific building functions. Monitors and reviews the work area to ensure a high quality service delivery and to maintain a safe working environment ensuring Health and Safety policies and ISO9001 standards are adhered to and ensure defects and breakdowns are reported to the relevant authority with all correction paperwork completed and up to date. Deal with and solve problems that arise in service delivery. Plan and organise day to day tasks with responsibility for a geographic area of work for a large number of cleaning operatives. Contact point for each establishment cleaned and reporting back any issues or areas for improvement. The role is required to respond to reports of absence, support in recruitment and selection of staff, induction and training, staff communication and procedure updates ensuring quality standards are met. Ensuring stocks of consumables and equipment are well maintained and a clear process of communication in reporting stock levels and raising orders and organising repairs etc. Provide cover for specialist cleaning team when required.
