JOB – Quality Assurance Engineer
LOCATION – Luton
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring that the final product meets high-quality standards. In this detail-oriented position, you'll develop and implement inspection activities, troubleshoot and resolve issues, and deliver reliable outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Create, prepare, and implement the Inspection Test Plan (ITP) and related directives, procedures, and instructions to support quality initiatives.
Develop and manage quality control and quality assurance processes, ensuring all contract requirements are met.
Review inquiry documents and prepare QA/QC documentation for quotation submissions.
Prepare and maintain product specifications and process procedures, including monitoring approvals (Agility System).
Control contract quality plans and track Quality Plans (QPs) daily.
Oversee Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) and Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).
Maintain and manage weld and welder qualifications where applicable.
Ensure specification updates align with Engineering requirements.
Track QA compliance updates, incorporating relevant design codes (e.g., ASME, API).
Provide quality support across departments, including Sales, Operations, Production Engineering, Manufacturing, and Test.
Lead or participate in quality improvement projects.
Conduct internal, external, and supplier quality audits.
Check material certifications for compliance with standards.
Approve supplier ITPs and procedures.Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in a Quality Assurance Engineering role.
Experience with ISO 9001 OR AS 9100
Ability to interpret technical drawings.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
UK passport holder (dual nationality permitted, with British as the primary nationality).
