Are you passionate about leading and making a positive impact in a dental care setting? We're thrilled to invite you to consider joining our team at Scottish Dental Care as an Operational Supervisor ( Lead Nurse) at our Granite City Practice.
In this role, you’ll be a key player in ensuring our clinic runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis. Working closely with our Deputy Operations Manager, you'll have the opportunity to provide leadership to our dental nursing team, coordinate staff activities, and ensure that all essential tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
As Operational Supervisor, your responsibilities will be varied and rewarding. You’ll keep our clinical areas organised and ready for action, provide invaluable chairside assistance to our patients, and ensure their comfort and well-being. You’ll also maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. On the financial side, you’ll manage banking deposits and handle patient payments, as well as complete necessary paperwork such as NHS transmissions and monthly reconciliations.
You’ll be the friendly face our patients love to see, ensuring our patient recall system runs smoothly, handling patient queries with care and professionalism, and making sure all patient communications are up-to-date. In addition, you’ll keep the heartbeat of our clinic going strong, managing appointments, handling patient payments, and keeping our practice documentation in order. Your involvement will extend to other exciting aspects of our clinic's operations, such as monitoring staffing levels and holding monthly practice meetings, ensuring the clinic runs smoothly.
We are looking for a GDC-registered Dental Nurse with experience in both NHS and private practices. Ideally, you’ll have held a lead role or have extensive post-qualification experience. While familiarity with SOE software is preferred, it’s not essential. Your confidence, motivation, and proactive nature, along with exceptional organisational skills and the ability to inspire others, make you a perfect fit for our collaborative team environment.
At Scottish Dental Care, we believe in rewarding our team members. You’ll receive an additional day’s holiday or a day’s pay for your birthday, annual GDC registration paid, and contributory pension scheme. We also cover your indemnity insurance and provide numerous career development opportunities, including the chance to complete post-qualifications.
You’ll enjoy a Dentinal Tubules CPD membership, participate in our annual CPD weekends, and benefit from mentorship within our experienced teams and industry leaders. We are proud to invite our Dental Nurses to an annual CPD day where you can learn and share in our culture of continuous improvement.
While we’ve outlined some key responsibilities here, we’re also open to your ideas and input. Your role may evolve over time, and we’re excited to see how you can help shape the future of our clinic!
We look forward to potentially welcoming you to our team at Scottish Dental Care
