Admin Assistant and Accounting SupportLocation : Stoke on Trent, ST6Hours : Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (will consider Part time hours)Salary : £25000paContract Type : Permanent Our client is a well established Accountancy Practice based in the heart of Stoke on Trent. They are looking for someone to join their team as an Admin Assistant to provide essential Administrative Support and assist with basic accounting tasks, helping to ensure the smooth running of the office. Key Responsibilities:Provide general Administrative support, including answering calls, scheduling appointments and managing emails. Maintaining office files and documentation, both electronically and in hard copy. Assisting with invoicing and billing, ensuring accurate and timely processing of client accounts.Supporting the Accounting team with data entry and preparation of financial reports. Reconciliation of bank statements and other financial records.Support with Accounts payable and receivableGeneral office duties including ordering office supplies, filing and maintaining office systems. The ideal candidate:Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within Accountancy or Finance environment.Basic understanding of Accounting principles and practices (experience within Bookkeeping is an advantage)Strong organisational skills and attention to detailProficient in Microsoft Office and familiarity with accountancy software (Sage, Xero or similar) is desirable.Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal.
