Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester required in Southampton, Hampshire Basic Salary up to £31,000 bonus Monday – Friday: 08:30 – 17:30, Saturdays 08:30 – 13:00 Multi-Site, National Garage Technician/MOT Tester required one of our client's Southampton branches. Our Client is a multi-site garage, seeking a Technician ideally with an MOT licence to assist with the added duties following increased volume at the site. This role would suit individuals with prior experience as a Technician looking for an exciting new opportunity in a thriving workshop to support with their added workload. Competitive basic salary up to £31,000 bonus Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:30, Saturdays 08:30 - 13:00 Supportive team environment Company pension Life insurance On-site parking Additional training - Opportunity to obtain MOT Licence Duties of a Technician/MOT Tester with our Client Ensuring the work completed on each vehicle is carried out safely and to a high standard Complete MOTs in line with DVSA guidelines and within allocated times established by the client Completing light servicing, MOT repair work and diagnostics Complete fast fit tyre fitting whilst being able to use an alignment machine and understand the reading and relevant adjustments Fitting brakes, exhausts, and other mechanical products Working in a safe manner and always comply with health & safety regulations Adherence to company procedures of the vehicle inspection process To maintain accurate documentation in line with company policies and procedures Making customers and/or management aware of any additional faults found on the customer’s vehicle What our Client expects of their Technicians/MOT Testers Experience in the servicing of vehicles, MOT repair work and diagnostics - Brakes, suspension, exhausts, cambelts etc Ideally an NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent MOT Testing licence strongly preferred but not essential Full valid UK Driving Licence Excellent customer service skills Experience in a professional workshop environment The ability to work as part of a busy team in a fast-paced dynamic environment The willingness to constantly learn and improve your knowledge The ability to act on your own initiative and take responsibility for the quality of your work We will not send your CV to a job until we have spoken to you so it is imperative that you provide a daytime contact number preferably your mobile number.
