Job Title: Health and Social Care Lecturer

Rate: 26 - 29 per hour
Eden Brown are seeking a passionate and experienced Health and Social Care Lecturer for a Further Education College in West Yorkshire.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality teaching to learners studying Health and Social Care at various levels, supporting their academic and professional development.
This is a part time temporary role to start on Wednesday 23rd April.
Hours are:
1. Monday: 1:00 PM - 4:40 PM
2. Tuesday: 12:30 PM - 4:00 PM
3. Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM
4. Thursday: 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the curriculum and meet the needs of diverse learners.
2. Assess, monitor, and provide constructive feedback on student progress, ensuring timely submission of assessments.
3. Support students in developing both theoretical knowledge and practical skills relevant to the health and social care sector.
4. Contribute to curriculum development and ensure teaching materials are up to date.
5. Provide academic guidance, support, and mentorship to students, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
6. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievement.
7. Ensure compliance with college policies, quality assurance standards, and safeguarding procedures.
8. Engage with industry developments to ensure teaching remains current and relevant to sector needs.
Essential Criteria:
1. A relevant degree in Health and Social Care, Nursing, Social Work, or a related discipline.
2. A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.
3. Experience in teaching or training within the health and social care sector.
4. Strong understanding of current practices, policies, and challenges in health and social care.
5. Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
6. A commitment to student success and inclusive education.
