Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Structural Engineer to join our AE&C firm. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of structures that meet safety and sustainability standards. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction professionals to ensure that projects are completed efficiently, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Duties
* Design and Analysis: Perform structural analysis and design for various types of projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial buildings.
* Material Selection: Recommend appropriate materials based on project specifications and environmental factors, ensuring cost-effectiveness and durability.
* Structural Calculations: Conduct calculations to determine loads, pressures, and stresses on structural components.
* Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability standards.
* Collaboration: Work closely with architects, civil engineers, project managers, and contractors to develop integrated design solutions.
* Construction Support: Provide technical guidance and oversight during the construction phase to ensure structural integrity and design adherence.
* Project Management: Assist in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of engineering projects to meet deadlines and budget requirements.
* Documentation: Prepare detailed technical reports, design drawings, and specifications using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar.
* Quality Control: Conduct on-site inspections and evaluations to ensure that construction meets the design specifications and quality standards.
Requirements
* Valid Driver’s license
* Clean Background check
* Ability to communicate clearly via phone, virtual meetings, and in person.
* Travel to sites using your personal vehicle. Required liability limits 100/300/100.
Qualifications (required related experience)
* Proficient with AutoDesk Revit modeling and Risa structural analysis programs
* Strong personal organizational, time management, and leadership skills
* Problem solving and decision-making skills
* Ability to multi-task and work with a group and on an individual basis
* Self-motivated, positive attitude, committed to professional development & continuing education
* Proficient in using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Projects, etc.)
Education (required minimum education level):
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering
* 5+ years of experience in structural engineering
Certifications/Licensure:
* PE License required
