Our client is a fantastic SEN school in Ware who are looking for a Psychology and Criminology graduate to provide education and training for children diagnosed with a wide range of educational and social needs. The school endeavours to ensure children reach their full potential through high standards of teaching and learning.
This is a Mental Health Teaching Assistant role that will put you into challenging, sometimes anti-social contexts that will build your foundations of experience. With this LSA role starting, de-escalation and the language around it is incredibly important!
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your understanding through the education and training of their pupils. You will work closely with the clinical departments within this school.

Role Requirements:
1. Personal/Professional experience with children and/or young people is desirable but not essential.
2. Psychology and Criminology Graduate.
3. A caring individual with energy, drive, and enthusiasm.
4. Ability to work as part of a team, alongside teaching and support staff.
5. Willing to support a pupil with personal care where necessary.
6. Able to use their initiative to support learning.
7. Passion to support children and young people with special educational needs.
What you'll need:
1. Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to get one.
2. Eligibility to work in the UK.
3. Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification, at level 2 or above.
4. Local commute to Ware and surrounding areas.
