Freelance Building Surveyor - Condition Surveys of Education Estate\n\n Location: Nottingham\n Job Type: Freelance\n IR35 Status: Inside IR35\n Pay: Competitive Day Rate\n\n We are seeking an experienced Freelance Building Surveyor to conduct condition surveys across a large education estate in Nottingham. This is a key role for a professional with a background in surveying non-housing properties, particularly in an educational environment. The role will involve using Asseticom asset capture software on a tablet device to collect and report data efficiently.\n\n Key Responsibilities:\n\nConduct thorough condition surveys across a wide range of educational buildings within the estate.\nUse Asseticom, an asset capture software, on a tablet device to record survey data accurately and in real-time.\nAssess and report the condition of building fabric, plant, and equipment, identifying areas requiring immediate attention or long-term maintenance.\nWork closely with the estate management team to prioritise repairs, improvements, and maintenance schedules.\nProvide clear, concise survey reports and asset condition documentation for future planning and budgeting.Key Requirements:\n\nSignificant experience in carrying out condition surveys on non-housing stock, with a preference for educational or public sector buildings.\nFamiliarity with using tablet devices and Asseticom (or similar asset capture software) to collect and input survey data.\nStrong knowledge of building construction, maintenance practices, and compliance standards.\nAbility to work independently, manage your own workload, and deliver results on time.\nStrong communication and reporting skills, with a keen attention to detail.Additional Information:\n\nThis freelance role offers a competitive day rate.\nThe position is inside IR35, so candidates must comply with IR35 legislation.If you have experience conducting condition surveys in the education sector and are comfortable working with modern asset capture software, we'd love to hear from you
