Senior Account Manager
We are looking for an experienced Senior Account Manager to join our team. They will lead on a number of key client accounts reporting to the Account Director and Client Services Director. The ideal candidate will be client-oriented with a drive to achieve goals and maintain great client relationships in a fast-paced, creative agency. They will be eager to grow their client experience, work on exciting and dynamic briefs, and work with a team of specialists across creative, client services, content, and digital.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Account Leadership: Strategic Management and oversight of all briefs on client accounts. Timely reporting of status and key financial info to AD. Keeping the team and the client up to date with useful knowledge and information.
2. Control of Agency Deliverables & Critical Paths: Development and management of Critical Paths ensuring full team within client services are using and updating detailed planning tools. Responsibility for delivery of brief to deadlines. Ensuring that project deadlines and budgets are met, communicating and seeking approval of any changes.
3. Communications: As key contact ensure your level of client comms and the wider account team's comms are quality and highly efficient from timings/content POV. Move into advisory and consultative position with client so the value of your senior level experience is felt and set apart. Become a competent and high level presenter and coach the team on same.
4. Budget Control: Production of accurate budget plans and forecasts, reconciled and reported monthly, control financial admin and oversee financial information produced by team. Work with Finance to limit write-off of agency hours, bill client accurately, chase unpaid invoices, do reconciliations.
5. Add value and enhance the brief: Determine how we can go above and beyond, add value at every opportunity and coach team to do same. Present creative work, listen to the clients' feedback.
6. Quality Control & Supplier Management: Ensure quality of deliverables to MXB and client standards, nurture and review relations. Work with Producers and the Creative Team to ensure all creative material produced and presented is legal and adheres to the regulatory Code.
7. Lead Issues Resolution, Escalation and Complaints Management: Internally with team ensure escalation on issues in a timely manner, communicating corrective action to team and ensuring you push solutions to Senior Team. Ensure clients are well managed during issues resolution and seek guidance from Senior Team on how best to navigate.
8. Presentations Development & Delivery: Lead on Proposals, Performance reports, Pitch documentation and proficient delivery of presentations. Conducting account analysis and preparing materials for client meetings including conducting competitor reviews.
9. Drive Campaign Performance: Proactively seek campaign data to communicate results, recommend intermediary action to drive results, oversee implementation. Gain Client testimonials for all key campaigns.
10. Account Growth & New Business Conversion: Identify areas for growth with existing clients, and support NBD on key opportunities. Identify ways to grow client accounts through organic new business opportunities, lead and convert.
11. People Leadership: Support junior employees through their PDPs. Provide timely feedback and coaching to develop the team. Manage the work and performance of team members. Constantly update your own technical knowledge and people management skills.
