Job Title: Marketing and Communications Manager
Role Overview:
Talawa Theatre Company is seeking a Marketing and Communications Manager to lead all audience-facing operations, including marketing, press, social media, and audience development strategies. This role will ensure Talawa's purpose and programming are effectively communicated to a wide range of communities. The manager will oversee the company's website, MAKE online platform, Salesforce CRM, media engagement, brand development, and publicity efforts. Additionally, the role involves line management of the Digital Coordinator, ensuring smooth and impactful digital and communication strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with the Artistic and Executive Directors to communicate Talawa's work onstage to existing and potential audiences and to seek opportunities to enhance Talawa's profile and reach.
* Devise and implement cost-effective marketing campaigns to promote Talawa's productions and events to meet agreed box office and audience development targets.
* Play an active role in positions Talawa as an attractive proposition to potential sponsors and supporters
* Responsible for Talawa Theatre Company's Archive, overseeing its development and upkeep (housed at the V&A)
Essential Skills:
* Proven experience in marketing and communications, ideally in the arts.
* Strong knowledge of digital platforms, social media, and CRM systems (preferably Salesforce).
* Excellent communication skills with creative storytelling ability.
* Leadership experience and a passion for audience development.
