Job Description:
The Position:
The position of Driver is located in UNFPA Country Office and reports to the International Operations Manager.
Upon the request of the supervisor, the Driver will also be required to provide driving services to the operations and programme staff in the SRO, consultants, experts, and UN staff on mission, but this will not be the predominant function of the post.
Internal contacts include senior office staff and higher visiting officials for basic information exchange and straightforward translations.
External contacts involve protocol arrangements and information exchange with national and international partners. The incumbent may collaborate with other UN Agency Drivers for major functions.

Job Purpose:
The Driver will support UNFPA officials, ensuring discretion, integrity, and knowledge of protocol and security. The role requires client-oriented service, courtesy, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity. The driver will also support basic IT and clerical functions.
You would be responsible for:
* Providing reliable and safe driving services, including transporting officials and visitors, and handling mail and documents.
* Staying updated on traffic and safety regulations to ensure punctuality.
* Maintaining vehicle logs and assisting in vehicle maintenance and repairs.
* Ensuring all vehicle documentation and supplies are up-to-date and available.
* Supporting translation and administrative tasks as needed.
* Assisting with IT support, protocol assignments, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education: Completed Secondary Level Education.
Knowledge and Experience:
* Valid driver’s license.
* At least three years of driving experience in an international organization, embassy, or UN system with a safe driving record.
* Knowledge of driving rules, local roads, and defensive driving skills.
* Basic vehicle repair skills.
* Basic IT knowledge is an advantage.
