Job summary To contribute to the provision of health care by providing a day-to-day maintenance service, ensuring the Estate is maintained to a high standard, whilst providing a safe environment for patients, public and staff. The Principal Duties are to be a member of team of operatives who will undertake on a daily basis the full servicing and delivery on a wide range of plant and equipment. Duties will include testing, fault finding and replacement of both electrical and mechanical components in accordance with their level of training, knowledge and understanding Main duties of the job We are seeking to recruit an Estates Maintenance Worker to become a member of the maintenance team comprising various trades and working in the Hospital Environment undertaking planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks relevant to the mechanical and electrical services and building fabric. The main base will be Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda Hospital, however you could be expected to work at any location within the Health Board as the role will require you to carry out maintenance duties in various buildings throughout the Health Board. You will have previous maintenance experience, preferably within a health care environment. You will have sound written and verbal communication skills. You will require a good general standard of education. A qualification in electrical/mechanical or building discipline would be desirable.
