This is a part time position, working 22.5 hours per week, across Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The advertised salary is therefore pro rata.
This role will provide counselling and support to a nominated caseload of individuals currently within We Are With You and will provide a safe, confidential and encouraging therapeutic environment. You will use your skills and experience to support people to explore feelings and emotions and facilitate reflection, whilst working to improve access to appropriate services for service users with substance misuse issues. As well as this, you will:
* Assist in the delivery of an integrated service through the provision of recovery planning, appropriate referral, support, care coordination and psychosocial interventions
* Develop and disseminate information and give advice on psychological wellbeing in both group and one to one settings
* Work with colleagues in the Quality and Clinical Governance and the Knowledge Management teams to ensure that best practice is shared and knowledge and management information is available
* Develop and build strong and positive relationships with key stakeholders to ensure continuity of service.
You will be a compassionate and motivated Counsellor, who holds BACP accreditation/UKCP registration or equivalent, with a minimum diploma level qualification in counselling. You should have the ability to connect quickly with the people we support, treating them respectfully and with dignity. We are looking for someone who is passionate about what we do, with a positive and engaging approach to our service users and staff.
As an organisation, we continue to build an inclusive culture that encourages, supports and celebrates the diverse voices and experiences of our staff. We know that representing the communities we serve is key to us meeting our goals of radically improving people’s lives. We welcome the unique contributions that you can bring and we encourage people from underrepresented communities and backgrounds to apply to join our team, including people with lived experience, people with disabilities, people from racialised communities, LGBTQ+ people and armed forces veterans.
As part of our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant we provide a guaranteed interview scheme for candidates that are veterans and meet all the essential criteria for a role. With You is also Disability Confident Committed and we offer a guaranteed interview scheme for candidates with a disability and meet all the essential criteria for a role.
If you have a disability, a learning difficulty such as dyslexia or a medical condition which you believe may affect your performance during any aspect of our selection process, we’ll be happy to make reasonable adjustments to enable you to perform at your best.
