Joining AA-X as a Lead Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of solutions within our corporate ventures arm.
You’ll provide both hands-on deliverables as well as technical leadership and guidance within your team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality technical solutions that meet business requirements. You will work closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to drive the design and development of these solutions.
What will I be doing?
* Collaborate with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements and develop high-quality technical solutions.
* Provide delivery estimates for assigned changes/projects and ensure functionality meets requirements within committed timescales and budget.
* Offer Level 3 Application Support, troubleshooting and resolving issues while ensuring compliance with architectural and coding standards.
* Act as a technical leader and role model for junior team members, conducting code reviews and creating technical documentation.
* Lead Continuous Integration delivery in an Agile environment and participate in component and data architecture design.
* Monitor performance, evaluate products, and make buy versus build recommendations.
What do I need?
* Strong hands-on backend development/engineering experience within complex environments. Possess the ability to showcase and execute an in-depth understanding of the full Software Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC).
* Experience with leading/coaching/mentoring and/or line managing technical teams – ability to lead by example and drive forward solutions
* Strong technical and interpersonal skills with the ability to work within a high-performance development team as well as varying stakeholder levels across the organisation.
* Experience with Atlassian toolset (Git, Jira), environment configuration, and CI/CD challenges.
* Knowledge of Agile, TDD, and the ability to provide technical leadership and serve as a role model to junior team members.
